Where does my $10 donation go?
Every semester, The ³ÉÈ˺ÚÁÏ Foundation asks students to donate $10 to help support students in need and to enrich the student experience at Dawson. These contributions are collected and then spread out across several different areas of need including but not limited to:
Enriching the Student Experience
This includes financing the Student Academic Growth and Enrichment (SAGE) projects, funding for programs which advance well-being for all, contributing to enhancing academic opportunities (ex: field trips), and supporting student-led fundraising initiatives.
Supporting Students’ Needs
This includes funding food security programs and services such as the food bank and the weekly free meals. Supporting students’ needs also encompasses the funding that we give to the Financial Aid Department for bursaries; to the Student AccessAbility Centre (SAAC) for assessments; and to Student Services Counselling for emergency resources.
Funding the ³ÉÈ˺ÚÁÏ Perseverance Awards
The ³ÉÈ˺ÚÁÏ Perseverance Award is meant to encourage Dawson students from all programs and sectors to continue in their studies and four awards are given annually to students who have overcome great challenges in pursuit of their education at Dawson.
Covering administrative fees
The ³ÉÈ˺ÚÁÏ Foundation is proud of everything it does to help students every day, but the programs and services we offer come with a certain administrative load. Approximately 3% of donated funds are needed to help keep the Foundation running.
Remember, each $10 donation adds up, and together, your help goes towards making a huge difference at Dawson.
Thank you!
