TEF – Language Proficiency Testing

TEF/TEF Canada/TEFAQ

成人黑料’s Continuing Education and Community Services (CECS) department has partnered with CCI Paris Ile-De-France Education to become a recognized TEF testing center.

The TEF is a French language proficiency test recognized by the Minist猫re de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Int茅gration (MIFI) as a measure of proficiency for its Certificat de S茅lection du Qu茅bec (CSQ) immigration selection process.

Note

The test center is not authorized to provide information regarding the number of evaluations you must complete, as these requirements vary between candidates. It is the candidate’s responsibility to select all necessary evaluations pertinent to your situation. For more information about the 4 different exams visit the

Tests

The TEF is a modular test. Depending on your reason/motivation and the steps you take, you should register for the TEF evaluations for your specific motivation.

1. TEF Canada

Canada immigration application 4 parts required:

  • Oral comprehension
  • Written comprehension

Canada citizenship application 2 parts required:

  • Oral comprehension

2. TEF Qu茅bec (TEFAQ)

4 parts:

  • Oral comprehension (mandatory test)
  • Oral expression (mandatory test)
  • Written comprehension (optional test)
  • Written expression (optional test)

3. TEF

5 parts:

  • Written comprehension
  • Oral expression
  • Written expression
  • Vocabulary and Structure

4. TEF IRN

4 parts:

Evaluations

Expression orale

  • $140 +taxes
  • 15 minutes (TEF IRN 10 min.): The test will be conducted in person and will consist of two topics: A and B.

Compr茅hension orale

  • $140 + taxes
  • 40 questions, 40 minutes (TEF IRN 10 min.)

Expression 茅crite

  • $70 +taxes
  • Pour le TEF, TEF Canada et le TEF Qu茅bec : Section A – 25 min / Section B – 35 min
  • Pour le TEF IRN : Section A – 10 min / Section B – 20 min

Compr茅hension 茅crite

  • $70 +taxes
  • 40 questions, 1 hour (TEF IRN 30 min.)

Lexique et structure

  • $70 +Taxes
  • Aim: To assess your ability to use the French language (vocabulary and grammatical structures) correctly and appropriately
  • Content: 40 questions
  • Duration: 30 minutes
  • Format: Multiple-choice

Registration

Please note: registration fees are non-refundable.

Registration is done in 2 steps:

Step 1:

  • Create a personal file
  • Select a test group according to the desired date
  • Add test to basket
  • Repeat steps 3 & 4 for each test
  • Registration closes 10 days before each session
  • Payment by credit card upon registration

Step 2:

You must send us the following information by e-mail to internationaldevelopment@dawsoncollege.qc.ca

  • Nationality
  • Native language
  • Reason/motivation for TEF registration
  • Type of test: TEF, TEFAQ
  • Scanned copy (photo) of official photo ID (passport (preferable), driver’s license, etc.)

The 2 registration steps must be completed 10 days before the test date. Please note that a minimum amount of candidates per session is required for the test to take place. 成人黑料 reserves the right to postpone a TEF testing date due to lack of participants. Please note that certificates of results are now sent by e-mail to the candidate. It may take between 3 and 4 weeks to receive the results. We have no control over the speed of correction.

Registration Information & Conditions

After registration is closed, we will first validate all registrations and then create the test schedule. Since not all candidates register for the same combination of tests, we create a specific schedule for each candidate. All test events must take place between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm. Each candidate’s test schedule will be communicated to them prior to the test date and cannot be changed. *Our test centres do not offer immigration advice, nor do they advise on which parts of the test you should take, please review requirements with the CCIP, MICC or IRCC as appropriate.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Registration fees are non-refundable.

In the case of an illness, you will need to supply a medical note to internationaldevelopment@dawsoncollege.qc.ca

Attestation

Results are valid for two years.聽 Certificates of results are sent by e-mail to the candidate. It may take between 3 and 4 weeks to receive the results. We have no control over the speed of correction.

Accessibility Needs

Candidates with special needs have to provide a certificate to the exam centre: the certificate has to be filled out by a medical doctor (MD) and has to indicate the type of disability.

If the disability allows the candidate to sit for the test, the MD has to indicate which accommodations should be provided to the candidate (Braille version, Extended Test Time, Assistance, etc). Le fran莽ais des affaires will send the testing centre all the necessary material to put in place those accommodations.

In order to accommodate the test takers’ needs, the accessibility request must be submitted to internationaldevelopment@dawsoncollege.qc.ca with supporting documentation one month before the anticipated exam date.
