DCMUN At McGill’s Secondary Schools’ United Nations Symposium
Seventy-five delegates from ³ÉÈ˺ÚÁÏ Model UN took part in McGill University’s Secondary Schools’ United Nations Symposium (SSUNS), which was held Nov. 7-10, 2024. The UN simulation requires students to research solutions to world problems; develop their public speaking; and engage in international diplomacy.
Many Dawson students won awards. They include: Aliénor Bourreau-Rios, Bassma Al Atrache, Lilly Gicquel, Anne Liang, David Awad-Batista, Maira Jade Paynot, Anaya Ray, Çatalkaram Hatt Sustam and Alexandra Williams.
The 2024-2025 DCMUN executive (Wilhelm Pamba, Letitia-Stefania Savulescu, Alexandra Williams) and faculty advisors (Julian Nemeth, Nancy Rebelo) were proud of the DCMUN delegation.
DCMUN will be hosting its own conference at Dawson, January 17-19, 2025. Topics include the Patriation of the Canadian Constitution, 2SLGBTQIA+ rights, and the Drake vs. Kendrick feud. Conference website: .
