Gabriel Tordjman鈥檚 book was published this summer. The book is entitled: Darwin鈥檚 Tea Party; Biological Knowledge, Evolution, Genetics and Human Nature.
The book by the 成人黑料 Humanities teacher examines how biological knowledge has transformed the planet and reshaped humanity. Using the concept of biological knowledge, the author explores key persons, places, ideas and events that have shaped the world. He shows that while the development of biological knowledge has opened vast new vistas in our understanding of the living world and promises material abundance for some; refracted through the distorting lens of ideology, it has also contributed to great inequality and oppression.
Six alumni of the North-South Studies Profile in Social Science moved into action in early November when they heard that Tuapi, Nicaragua was in the line of Hurricane Eta.

Fundraising consultant Elaine Lalonde (mother of North-South Studies alumna) and Claudia Mastrocola (Class of 2013, Community, Recreation and Leadership Training) joined the Board of Directors of the 成人黑料 Foundation at the Nov. 23 meeting.
The Foundation has bolstered its in-house fundraising expertise by welcoming these two new board members.
Elaine brings over 30 years of experience in fundraising to the Foundation. After several fundraising roles in the nonprofit sector, she is now a Senior Consultant with Global Philanthropic Canada Inc.
Claudia has seven years of experience managing fundraising events. She works as an event manager with the Italian-Canadian Community Foundation.
Catherine Ch茅nier-Gagnon returned to 成人黑料 on Nov. 24 to receive the Governor General鈥檚 Collegiate Bronze Medal. Academic Dean Diane Gauvin presented the medal to Catherine at an intimate and socially distanced ceremony witnessed by her parents and a few teachers.

The Howlett family thought that Nursing students needed extra encouragement in the context of the pandemic. This semester, four future nurses from 成人黑料 were honoured and encouraged by receiving the Anne-Marie Howlett Memorial Award.

DAWSCON, the free software conference at 成人黑料, is on as usual this year. The fifth annual conference for students and developers will be taking place virtually on Friday, Jan. 15, 2021.

Dawson students Kahenientha Cross and John Nathaniel Gertler and Dawson graduate Ella Noel were featured in a CBC news report in the lead up to The Nature of Things documentary, Rebellion. Scenes of students preparing for the climate march were filmed at Dawson last year.
The 60th聽anniversary season premiere of The Nature of Things hosted by David Suzuki on Nov. 6 features an action-filled documentary that captures the beginnings of a movement that is changing the world.
Rebellion聽brings viewers to the front lines of the climate rebellion, including 成人黑料 on Sept. 26, 2019, the day before the historic climate march in Montreal with Greta Thunberg and 500,000 peaceful protesters.

Dawson鈥檚 211-page sustainability report was submitted to the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) review committee in September. Almost 90% of indicator reporting and supporting documents were accepted and the Sustainability Office has 60 days to respond to questions concerning the other 10%. This is Dawson鈥檚 first attempt at an international rating in sustainability and we are hoping to be recognized at a high level. The entire College community has worked hard to contribute data and processes and to modify practices that lead to well-being for all. Stay tuned for results soon!
