After watching the Living Campus guided tour video,聽Ivan Freud, Chair of Dawson's Religion Department, had this to say:

"As a teacher I have been involved with Dawson's Peace and Sustainability Communities for a number of years, and yet I was surprised to find some initiatives that I had never heard of in the latest Living Campus Orientation Video. What is being done in terms of peace and sustainability at Dawson is simply incredible! It makes me proud to be part of such a vibrant, visionary, creative, and caring community."

Steven Pinker lends his support to COVID-19 Student Fund

April 21st, 2020

Eminent Harvard professor, world-renowned psychologist and author Steven Pinker (Class of 1973) is supporting Dawson's efforts to raise funds for students in need. An estimated 1,700 Dawson students may be having trouble covering food and rent expenses.

Dr. Pinker sent this quote to 成人黑料 last week:

"For more than fifty years, Dawson has been educating people from all parts of society to make contributions to all walks of life. As a proud alumnus, I encourage you all to support this generation of Dawson students, who on top of all the challenges of college are facing additional hardships in this unprecedented crisis."

To date, thanks to your contributions and donations from friends and alumni, 成人黑料 has raised just shy of $2,000, with more expected soon.

30,000 trees being planted to offset Dawson’s carbon footprint

The Board of Governors of 成人黑料 made the bold commitment to be Carbon Neutral Forever in October 2018. Now, that promise is being implemented with the planting of 30,000 trees this spring and summer.

Teachers saving the semester

For the past two weeks, many teachers have become students learning all about online teaching platforms. They have also been working hard to adapt course outlines and figure out how to present their material online while maintaining academic integrity and continuing to engage their students.

Live COVID-19 graph focused on Quebec developed by Dawson teachers

Jonathon Sumner (Physics) started working on a live interactive graph project with the idea of showing the evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic in different parts of the world, while normalizing for population size, as well as showing the impact of interventions like physical distancing.
