Invitation to Dawson Town Hall Nov. 13

Director General Diane Gauvin invites all Dawson employees to join her in 5B.16 on Wednesday, Nov. 13 from 10 AM to 11:15 AM for a Town Hall meeting.

Diane will be providing information about the hiring freeze and will be available to take your questions.


One more day for Teaching Excellence Award nominations

Nominations are open until Friday, Nov. 8 for the Teaching Excellence Awards for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Anyone can nominate an outstanding teacher. Employees can find the nomination link in under Academic Services and students can find the link in Omnivox under My College Services.

Dawson retirees and silver anniversaries will be honoured at Recognition of Service

Earlier this month, the invitations were sent out for the Recognition of Service cocktail and dinner, which will be hosted by Director General Diane Gauvin on Friday, May 24.

This cocktail and dinner reception is in appreciation of employees marking 25 years of service to Dawson as well as to thank recent retirees and those who are soon retiring.

鈥淲e are looking forward to celebrating our colleagues鈥 milestones,鈥 said organizer Janet Pakulis, who is also the assistant to the Director General. 鈥淲e take a lot of care to plan something truly special and memorable for them and we will celebrate them in style.鈥


Dawson 2024-2029 Strategic Plan prioritizes student development through the lens of well-being

Over the next five years, 成人黑料 will deliver on its academic mission led by the overarching value of Well-being for All, which emphasizes the cultivation of a stimulating, inclusive and caring environment for learning and working.聽 Other core values of the plan include Student Achievement, Institutional Excellence, Collaboration, and Innovation and Creativity.

In its newly released 2024-2029 Strategic Plan, the College鈥檚 strategic goal setting is guided by the interrelationship between students, communities both internal and external to the College, and the environment. Emphasis will be placed on supporting students to develop as a whole person: to lead meaningful lives and take on rewarding work while considering the impact on others and the planet, all while prioritizing their own physical and mental health.
