New children’s book by Andrew Katz

Petits coeurs sur la neige, written by Andrew Katz (Faculty, English) and Juliana L茅veill茅-Trudel, was published last month. It is the third book in the Julia and Bertrand series, following How to Catch a Bear Who Loves to Read / Comment attraper un ours qui aime lire听补苍诲听A Starlit Trip to the Library / Voyage de nuit 脿 la bibli.聽It is available for order at any local bookstore in Montreal or聽.
The English version of this third book, titled聽Little Hearts in the Snow, will be out next year at this same time.
Canada Invertebrate Expo will be at Dawson Nov. 16

Canada Invertebrate Expo: 脡dition Montr茅al 2024 will be a celebration of biodiversity, hosted by Dawson鈥檚 Living Campus on Saturday, Nov. 16 from 10 AM to 5 PM. There will be 35 interactive exhibitors and vendors.
The organizer is Daniel Zimmerman, a graduate of Dawson who is donating a portion of ticket sales to the 成人黑料 Living Campus fund.

Heartfelt and charged conversation in Two Birds One Stone

Rimah Jabr, a Muslim Palestinian, and Natasha Greenblatt, a Jewish Canadian, have woven together in 鈥楾wo Birds One Stone,鈥 a heartfelt and charged conversation. This thought-provoking and compelling narrative explores the essence of friendship, delves into the complexities of privilege, and reflects on the search for home and freedom.
Performances: October 25 - Nov 5, 8 - 9:30 PM
Performance everyday except Monday - please note that there is a matinee at 2 PM on November 2.

Cacti & succulents sale and chair raffle April 30

Interior Design students invite you to their cacti and succulents plant sale and chair raffle on Tuesday, April 30. Happening in Conrod's from 9 AM to 4 PM. The raffle is for an ergonomic office chair. Tickets are one for $10 and 3 for $25. Debit and credit cards accepted. The plants sale is all day but the chair raffle draw is at 1 PM. All proceeds are to fund the graduating students' Vernissage this spring.
The Chemical Valley Project delves into difficult conversations

Dipti Gupta (Faculty, Cinema | Communications) invites the Dawson community to a play presented by the Teesri Duniya Theatre, which is dedicated to producing politically relevant plays that explore life-affecting issues faced by people today. Dipti serves on the board of this company. 鈥淥ur aim is to focus on social justice through the work we do,鈥 she said.
Their upcoming play The Chemical Valley Project will be performed Thursday, March 14 through Sunday, March 24. 鈥淭his urgent production delves gracefully into difficult conversations on Indigenous treaty rights, the nature of contemporary Canadian identity and values, and Canada鈥檚 notorious 鈥淐hemical Valley,鈥 according to the company鈥檚 website.

Montreal Insect Show coming to Dawson March 9

The Salon des Insectes de Montr茅al (Montreal Insect Show) will be at Dawson on Saturday, March 9. It is the first time the show is being put on since the pandemic.
Organized by insect lovers, including Dawson's Brian Mader (Biology), the goal of the fair is to promote the many interesting aspects of insects. It will be in 3C.1 from 9 AM on 5 PM on March 9.
Dawson's Living Campus will be featured and the show will offer opportunities to
- See almost 150,000 insects and creatures from around the world
- Touch and hold live arthropods and butterflies
- Taste insects
