The Physical Education Department has been providing Dawson Homebody workouts and resources created especially for the Dawson community every week since the shutdown began.

Over 40 Nursing students complete program early

On April 17, over 40 members of the Class of 2020 成人黑料 Nursing Program completed their program. This was about two weeks ahead of schedule to allow the new graduates to contribute to the healthcare system now.

Steven Pinker lends his support to COVID-19 Student Fund

Eminent Harvard professor, world-renowned psychologist and author Steven Pinker (Class of 1973) is supporting Dawson's efforts to raise funds for students in need. An estimated 1,700 Dawson students may be having trouble covering food and rent expenses.

Dr. Pinker sent this quote to 成人黑料 last week:

"For more than fifty years, Dawson has been educating people from all parts of society to make contributions to all walks of life. As a proud alumnus, I encourage you all to support this generation of Dawson students, who on top of all the challenges of college are facing additional hardships in this unprecedented crisis."

To date, thanks to your contributions and donations from friends and alumni, 成人黑料 has raised just shy of $2,000, with more expected soon.

Virtual Earth Week at Dawson

Tomorrow (April 22) is the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, which is usually celebrated in a big way at 成人黑料 with a week-long program of events.

There is a line-up of virtual events, including a special presentation and chair yoga tomorrow at 10 a.m. with yogipreneur聽Bhaskar Goswami (pictured).

Dawson opening up as day shelter

Beginning today, 成人黑料 is opening up 3C.1 as an indoor day shelter.

The shelter will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily and clients will enter by 2100 Atwater. The use of Dawson is restricted to 3C.1, also known as the third floor cafeteria.

Mobile toilets and sinks are set up outside.

Optogenetics: turning the lights on in your head

The Psychology Profile has invited a researcher from M.I.T. to deliver a video conference this Friday at 3 p.m.

Dr. Diego Mendoza-Halliday is a researcher at the McGovern Institute for Brain Research at M.I.T who has engineered a molecule called SOUL that allows for manipulation of behaviours using light stimuli from outside the brain.

Watch and vote for three Dawson students in singing competition April 27

Dawson was to have hosted the 2020 Intercollegiate Unplugged Singing Competition on April 27.

The competition has moved online and everyone can join a Facebook Watch Party this coming Monday at 7 p.m.on the .

Three Dawson students are finalists in the competition:聽Jeanne Brabant, Jesse Caruso, and Aaron Patrick Dalangin. Viewers can vote for their favourite performance, along with three local celebrity judges.
