Dec. 17: Nomination deadline for Lieutenant Governor鈥檚 Youth Medal
The Lieutenant Governor鈥檚 Medal recognizes the voluntary involvement, determination and dedication of Quebecers who make or have made a difference in their community or Qu茅bec nation.
成人黑料 can recommend up to two students. Faculty and staff members can nominate students to the Awards Office until December 17.聽A selection committee will then choose the two candidates to be officially nominated by the Awards Office.
To be eligible for a nomination by an educational establishment, the student must, before the nomination deadline:
- be a聽听辞谤听聽within the meaning of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (.) and reside permanently in Qu茅bec;
- be under 29 years of age;
- be enrolled in a public or private high school, college or university or a vocational training centre (in a school service centre or school board) that is located in Qu茅bec and that offers a program recognized by the Minist猫re de l鈥櫭塪ucation and the Minist猫re de l’Enseignement sup茅rieur;
- have, through their involvement:
- demonstrated sustained volunteer involvement in social or community activities;
or - shown an inspiring attitude, had a positive influence on a group or community;
- demonstrated sustained volunteer involvement in social or community activities;
- be able to achieve the objectives of their program of study.
Please note there here are no financial rewards associated with the Lieutenant Governor’s Honours Program.
