Push [Yourself] Up Challenge
Human Resources and Student Services are collaborating again to being the Push [Yourself] Up Challenge!!!
From Feb. 11 to 28, all staff and students are invited to participate.
鈥淭he Push-Up Challenge is a free fitness event focused on pushing for better mental health for all Canadians. Participants take on 2,000 push-ups, representing the ~2,000 lives lost to suicide each day, worldwide.鈥 ()
Feel free to do lunges, squats, skipping rope, jumping jacks, whatever works for you! You do what you can/want.
Last year we greatly surpassed our modest community goal of 2000 pushups. So this year, we are aiming for 50 000 pushups!
Human Resources is giving $500 in prizes for employees and Student Services is doing the same for students. For all the details, visit the link.
How it works:
Sign up as an individual or a team:
- Download the app and track your progress there
- Do 2,000 reps of any exercise (Feel free聽 to do lunges, squats , skipping rope, jumping jacks, whatever works for you! You do what you can/want)
Both staff and students can win prizes, sponsored by Human Resources and Student Services.
- $500 in prizes for staff (four individual prizes of $50 and three team prizes of $100)

Visit the Push-up Challenge station: Upper Atrium 12 PM to 1 PM on most days between Feb.11 and 28.
