Student Testimonies

“I felt like I belonged; the relationships that were built, throughout the program, gave me support and the willingness to prosper in this field which can be hard at times.”

-Aharany Pathmanathan, RN

“The internship in 3rd year was an amazing experience and is something unique to the ³ÉÈ˺ÚÁÏ Nursing program! I was able to gain confidence and really be a part of the healthcare team on my unit. It really shaped my growth as a new nurse.”

-Elizabeth Higgins, RN

“The nursing program at ³ÉÈ˺ÚÁÏ has allowed me to experience some of the most incredible and memorable opportunities! I have loved the variety in clinical settings I have been able to go to and the amazing people I have met along the way! Thank you so much to ³ÉÈ˺ÚÁÏ for an amazing learning experience, I love Nursing!”

-Melinda Milioto

“To be honest, I only chose ³ÉÈ˺ÚÁÏ nursing program so I can be close to downtown, but never realized how awesome the nursing program was. It is a tough program; there is a lot of information thrown at you, and much studying to be done. This may sound daunting, but in the long run, you will be way better nurses. The one quality that I loved about this program, were the teachers. They are not just teachers; they are mentors, wanting to mold students in to fantastic nurses. I really love the internship program, where for one semester you get to work on a unit of your choosing; work side by side with a preceptor nurse. I know most people will say, ‘One nursing school is just as good as another.’ Not true! If you want to be just any kind of nurse, you can go somewhere else, but to be an exceptional nurse, only the ³ÉÈ˺ÚÁÏ nursing program can help you achieve this goal. “

-Carlo Mesiano

“Nearing the end of my 3rd year in Dawson’s Nursing program, I look back and see how far I have come. The program has been an enriching and enlightening one, helping me see both myself, and others in a new light. Always caring, growing and seeking knowledge, I look forward to being there and making a difference in peoples’ lives.”

-Shawn Poirier
