Note-Taker Payment Information

As a Note-Taker, you can either be PAID a small fee for your service OR you can apply for the Recognition of Student Involvement (ROSI).

GET PAID

Students who become a Note-Taker and wish to be paid should first verify with the SAAC to ensure that the student you are taking notes for is entitled to this service. Unfortunately, if the student does not have this as an accommodation, we cannot compensate you.

To be paid for this service you must provide us with the following (take note of the deadlines below:

  1. Complete the Note-taker Payment Form and email it to saacnotetaking@dawsoncollege.qc.ca
  2. Provide your Social Insurance Number via Omnivox under “Personal Information
  3. Provide your Banking Information under “and provide your Social Insurance Number and Banking information under the “Student Job Application Form

 

Time SensitiveDeadlines are April 15 for the Winter semester and November 15 for the Fall semester

It is important that you provide us with the necessary information as listed before the semester deadlines. Unfortunately, failure to do so may result in not getting paid.

GET RECOGNITION

You are eligible for the Recognition of Student Involvement notation if you have 60 or more hours on notetaking, you were a full-time student during your time of involvement, you meet the standard academic success requirements, and acted as a volunteer in the activity that you are requesting recognition for.

The Recognition of Student Involvement is an acknowledgment on your official transcript. You can download the Individual Student Recognition application form. To receive more information, please see Sandra in room 2E.8 or 2E.10B.
