About Writing in the Disciplines at 成人黑料
Since its inception in 2010 as Dawson鈥檚 first Community of Practice, Writing in the Disciplines (WID) has offered faculty opportunities to work on evidence-based approaches to improving their teaching.聽 Focused on pedagogy and curriculum development related to writing, critical thinking and active learning, WID expanded from the original core activities of the Faculty Writing Fellows to include the annual WID Spring Institute and WID Department and Program Projects, along with tailored Ped Day workshops and individual consultations.
Ninety teachers have now participated in the Faculty Writing Fellows; Department and Program Projects number ten and eleven are now underway; and hundreds of teachers have participated in the WID Spring Institute and WID workshops.聽 The result is that since its inception, thousands of Dawson students have benefited from teaching that incorporates best practices in the teaching of writing and critical thinking, in the disciplines where that thinking and writing actually take place.
